Facts related to the Molly Bish reward Flyer.

July 28, 2000, WOODS YIELD NO CLUES TO MOLLY, Chris Echegaray, Worcester Telegram & Gazette writes in article a $20,000 reward has been offered for information leading to Molly.

October, 2000 the reward fund reached $100,000 dollars.

The first Molly Bish reward flyer was created with the assistance of Polly Klaas Foundation December 28, 2000.

The only purpose of the Polly Klaas Foundation in relation to the disappearance of Molly Bish was to distribute missing child flyers.

February 21, 2001, Lt Frank Moore was identified by the Springfield Republic as in charge of the detectives investigating the Bish case, and interested in the new drawing being conducted by Jeanne Boylan.

March 19, 2001, District Attorney John Conte distributed a new sketch of the man in the white car which was seen by Magdalen Bish the day before Molly disappeared at Comins Pond in the parking lot. This drawing was done by nationally-known artist Jeanne Boylan.

March 21, 2002 District Attorney John Conte stated new flyers were going to be sent out.

The second Polly Klaas flyer is clearly marked, revised March 22, 2001, which included the $100,000 dollar reward which read “For information leading to Molly”. The flyer includes the new sketch drawn by nationally-known artist Jeanne Boylan, just released by District Attorney John Conte three days previous. This was the second and last flyer ever produced for Molly Bish by the Klaas foundation.

This Molly Bish Reward revised flyer of 2001 was distributed by a bulk faxing which was sent to clinics, convenience stores, fast food restaurants, gas stations, hospitals, hotel and motels, pharmacies, restaurants, and theatres  The 545 flyers went out to Warren, West Warren, West Brookfield, Brookfield, Ware, and East Brookfield, Massachusetts according to the Klaas Foundation.

Timothy McGuigan located the blue bathing suit and identified it as possible belonging to Molly Bish. He could have conducted a search himself which would have lead to the discovery of her bones which were later uncovered only 500 ft from the suit however he choose to notify the State Police to maintain the integrity of what he believed was a crime scene.

Massachusetts State Police activity log dated March 15, 2003 confirms this fact.

After the first public records request, March 27, 2006 to John Conte’s office the MollyBish.org web site changed the linking on the home page and a secondary page.

The Whois directory as of today lists the last update to the MollyBish.org web site as being on Mach 30, 2006.

The MollyBish.org reward link as of today still sends you to the Polly Klaas Foundation to get a copy of the reward flyer. No Molly Bish flyer is available on the Klaas web site.  If you click on the PDF link to obtain the Klaas flyer the home of page of the Klaas foundation appears.

In a public record request reply of July 10, 2006, that included the revised flyer to Worcester District Attorney John Conte. The District Attorney’s Office replied the $100,000 reward in the Molly Bish case listed on the flyer was offered by the Klaas Foundation.

The Klaas foundation stated in a letter dated September 12, 2006 the reward was not offered by the Polly Klaas Foundation.

The Klaas Foundation states they included the $100,000 dollar reward information on the March 22, 2001 revised flyer at the request of the Bish family.

Immediately after Mr. McGuigan found the bathing suit that lead to Molly’s remains, Worcester District Attorney John Conte began a public campaign to make him look like a suspect in the disappearance of Molly Bish. District Attorney Conte requested a DNA sample as well as a polygraph examination be provided by Mr. McGuigan.

May 26, 2003, an altered wanted flyer was circulated around C-3 barracks as well as being delivered into Mr. McGuigan’s mail box displaying Mr. McGuigan’s photograph.  The caption above states, “Wanted for questioning regarding the disappearance of Molly Ann Bish.”

Worcester District Attorney John Conte in a letter dated October 27, 2006 to Boston Lawyer Stephen Hrones states he can not vouch for what others put on reward flyers however according to the Klaas foundation letter of September 12, 2006, throughout the course of our assistance in the Molly Bish disappearance, Polly Klaas Foundation caseworkers have worked with the Bish family, Sergeant McCuwen (Richard McKeon C-Pac, Auburn State Trooper) with the Warren Police Department and Detective Lieutenant Moore, who in March 2001 was the Commander of John Conte’s C-Pac unit in Auburn an head of the Molly Bish investigation.

A copy of the Klaas foundation web site of 2003 still displayed the revised poster of 2001.

The reward flyer identified on this web site conte2006.com is from the Massachusetts State Police Barracks, C-3 East Brookfield, with the Klaas foundation fax number and date of March 22, 2001 date stamped on the top. The Bish Reward flyer which still hung in C-3 State Police barracks was removed from a display board and provided to Timothy McGuigan by Massachusetts State Trooper Robert Benoit on December 14, 2004.

October 29, 2006, John Bish admits to Boston Herald that once her remains were found, however, the parameters of the reward changed to find her killer.

No flyer for Molly Bish is displayed currently on the Klass Foundation web site

Currently no reward flyer in general circulation could be located within Worcester County.
